I was born in the USA in 1940 and have lived in Munich since 1962, my kids are no longer kids, and I am the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren. Even in my best years I was never a top athlete, but I love cycling.

When I was already in my forties, I undertook my first short bicycle tour south of Munich. It was love at first sight. Since then almost all my vacations have been by bike. I am fortunate that my husband shares my enthusiasm for cycling. In November 2010 he also started posting his photography here: www.janoskertesz.smugmug.com .
